[It means she doesn't have to restrain herself. Which is kind of awesome. So she nods, and though her style is definitely more defensive, she humors him and darts in to jab at his jaw and chest, sliding to the side to aim another punch at his side. It's all fluid, and faster than most humans.]
[Taking note of her speed and stance, Slade blocks the blows with inhuman speed, avoiding the last before returning the favor with some of his own -- a sharp jab at her side followed by a flurry of punches. He's testing the waters, trying to get a sense of how good she is; he'll measure his attacks according to her skill and nothing else besides.]
[She dodges instead of blocking where she can; Suus Mahna is all about movement and your enemy's force. Some of those punches she has to block, though, but instead of counteracting force with force, she deflects them and slides away, to do the same for the next set. She's quick, and she can certainly take a punch better than most. So in a gap between his attack, she pivots, leg lashing out, knee aimed for his stomach, before shooting lower to handicap his leg.]
Sidestepping a bit to avoid the blow to the stomach, he's not entirely successful in that -- the hit hurts but not enough to slow him down -- but he doesn't avoid the next one, parrying the kick with one of his own. Then, shoving back (a test of strength), he makes a swift jab at her side before following up with an uppercut to her jaw.]
[She watches him take the knee, notes that it doesn't seem to slow him at all - but the observation is momentarily put on hold with the shove. Slightly off balance from the blocked kick, she has to move with the push instead of standing against it, which leaves her open. She blocks the jab; Vulcan physiology makes the side a point more necessary to defend than most. But it jars, and the uppercut catches her before she can pull back completely.
That doesn't stop her from lashing out a kick straight between them, aiming to force him back and return her space.]
[Which is exactly how a Vulcan approaches a fight. For T'pol, this is all about . She waits long enough to be certain that he's waiting for her; then she moves in, feinting a jab at his chest but pulling back as she slides downward, leg snaking out to sweep at his.]
[He sees the feint, leaping neatly over the sweep before moving off to the side. There's a subtle sort of twist tugging at the corner of his mouth as he does this.
He'd rather she try to bring him down than return the favor. For now, at least.]
[Suus mahna was a lot like tai chi; it relied on the enemy's energy. But T'Pol learned it in the V'Shar, and an intelligence agency can't rely on the martial choices of an opponent in a fight. She notices that twist at the corner of his mouth, and shifts her position just slightly. The next few punches are meant as distractions, jabs that are meant to force defense, and once she has enough room, she leans back, foot rising to kick at his face.]

Good. I've learned various Human techniques through Starfleet, but I'm most familiar with Vulcan practices. If you're ready.
[She might. Also want to see just how fast he is. Maybe. Side-interest.]

After you.
[Instantaneous reflexes. Gotta love 'em.]
