My name is Commander T'Pol. I don't believe we've spoken before; I'm your new warden. We need to speak now.

[And down T'Pol went, moving quickly own those flights of stairs before she hit level zero. She stopped in front of the inmate's cell, hands behind her back.]

Armand.

[Armand sat with a smile on his cot before he heard the sound of T'Pol's voice. Carefully, he got to his feet and sauntered over to the door.]

T'Pol, then. My new warden.

Yes. Before the flood, you killed several people. Now that we've remembered, those crimes need to be dealt with. [She kept her eyes on him, face impassive.]

[Armand looks through the bars of his cell door, cocking his head to the side.]

I do not think so. I am without restraint here.

Now that I am your warden, that is no longer so. [She arches an eyebrow at him.] Why did you commit those murders?

[Armand raises an eyebrow at her.]

My motive is no concern of yours. Did you find all seven bodies?

Your motive is every concern of mine, as you are now my responsibility.

[Armand smiles a little at her before shaking his head.]

I do not think so.

[Both eyebrows inched upward at that.] You don't think what, exactly?

[Armand cocks his head to the side and he leans toward the bars.]

That my motives are any of your concern.

Again, that is incorrect. I am your warden now, and I hardly intend to allow actions such as your recent killings to continue. [She leaned in finally, face very neutral.] Is that clear?

[Armand looks rather unimpressed.]

I think you have no say in the matter.

[T'Pol straightens, pacing slowly to the edge of his cell, one eyebrow lifting.] Perhaps.

[She pauses all of two seconds before trying for a conversational tone:] I understand you are friendly with the inmate Rex.

[Armand cocks his head to the side before answering:] I am.

I have a say on the matter of your continued interaction with him. Should you like that to continue, I expect you not to work against me.

[Armand shakes his head firmly and leans toward the door.]

I think not.

[Eyebrows. Arching.] If you require proof, I can provide it.

Of course.

[She inclines her head.] Very well. Your communications with him will be halted.

[Armand's smile tilts crookedly to one side as if a support beam had just been toppled.]

That is not possible.

I believe it is. The Admiral has been accommodating of such requests in the past.

[Armand stalks back to his cot.]

He would not be as petty as you.

[That gets an arched eyebrow.] The Admiral? Or are you speaking of your former warden?

The Admiral.

Then I doubt you've interacted with him much.

I know enough.

Then you should know that being purposefully antagonistic will do you no favors.

I am not being purposefully antagonistic.

[He gets up from his cot to lean on the bars.]

Why would I be antagonistic?

[She arches an eyebrow.] I would think because you aren't getting your way.
