[There's some silence; T'Pol didn't realize she activated her barge!journal when she picked it up to examine it. It's set down, but not turned off, and picks up the sound of her door whooshing open - and, a few seconds later, whooshing shut.
Shuffling sounds can be heard; she's sweeping the room for listening devices and, lo and behold, finds the journal. It switches off for a few minutes, then back on. When she speaks, her voice is shaking. Not badly, but definitely noticeably.]
What is this place?
(((Sooo T'Pol's back from her canon update. She's got total barge amnesia; doesn't remember being here, or the deal she made, or the Admiral, etc. etc. Also, one SUPER FUN BIG NOTE: she isn't wearing those silly, brightly colored catsuits anymore. Now she's got a Starfleet uniform, which is that blue jumpsuit she has in some of her icons. She's rewound five years, too, annnnd Surak's katra was just destroyed, thus the shaking voice! Woo. :|)))

This ship functions as a way to save people from inevitable death through rehabilitation. I could... explain it in further detail, but at the moment I am most perplexed as I have a very definitive memory log of your prior occupation on board. [That uniform is familiar, too...]
no subject
[More like highly unlikely, but impossible sounds a lot better.]

[Private]
You do not sound well, Subcommander. [According to his data that was her position at some point.] There are competent medical facilities on board.

[She's starting to wonder if she was kidnapped by Romulans. That's actually starting to look like a sincere possibility, yep.]
[Private]
[And hmm the change of titles is confusing. She pauses for a moment to get herself under control; it only partially works.] I no longer hold that title. Nor do I need medical assistance.
[Another pause] Are there other members of my crew aboard?
no subject
[Private]
I apologize. I am not extraordinarily familiar with your career, but rather your empirical observations and accumulative data gathered aboard the NX-01.
[He pauses as well.] Negative. There are relatively few Starfleet personnel present, all from varying eras. My crew is absent as well.

I see. [That's partially comforting, and partially concerning. That means they should be back on the Enterprise, where they're needed. Now, for the hard question.]
Is this a Romulan vessel?
no subject
[Private]
This is not a Romulan ship. If you put through a request to the Admiral to see your previous logs, he should willingly provide them to you. In the case of all wardens, they accepted their position on the ship.
[He waits a moment.] My skills of observation are more finely tuned than those of a typical human. Your voice intonates discrepancy with that statement.

[Private]
[A pause, because she's trying to determine how much she can trust anything he's saying.]
Which statement is that?
no subject
[Private]
That you are not in need of medical assistance. Emotional exhibitions in Vulcans who are otherwise controlled frequently suggest the beginnings of either physical or mental illness. Bothering one so much as to reflect that emotion could, by human standards, be considered the equivalent of assault.
Whatever your rank at the moment, T'Pol, please gather your thoughts. This is a time ship, and can send people back to their points of origin. Your return to the Enterprise should be feasible if it is that important to you.

[He has a point, and that makes her uneasy. And though taking offense is illogical, she's having difficulty holding that back.] I am not ill. The Enterprise will need me in the battle for Deneva. [Hrm. Points of origin.]
no subject
You may not be, but the temperament is suspiciously irrational. Please listen to what you just said. /I am not ill. The Enterprise will need me in the battle for Deneva./ [This he says in her voice perfectly, as recorded in his memory.]
I am making viable suggestions, and you are countering them with demands that I can not facilitate. I am happy to assist you, but I am as confused as you are by the situation.
[Private]
I apologize. My behavior has been - less than adequate.
[Private]
Your behavior is a mystery to me, but I do not doubt it has its legitimate reasons and I will not judge you for them.

handwaved with permissionconversation later and he gets back to her.] Barge amnesia is a fairly common phenomenon aboard this vessel, but deteriorates on its own usually. In the meantime, it might still be wise to seek out further verification of your previous time.[And he noticed that gratitude, but he's not going to draw attention to it.]
