[Private to the EMH]

My inmate has led me to believe that you can facilitate experiencing the Borg Collective without nanotechnological alterations. Her words were, I believe, that it "would involve a temporary adaptation to [the] consciousness, by virtue of direct interface."

Do you have the ability to make this not only possible, but reversible?

[Private to Kay, Snape, and Kirk; added later]

I may require your assistance.

[Private to Trip, also later]

[She couldn't decide if she wanted to include him in this or not. :c] You have a phase pistol with you, correct?

It is possible and reversible, Commander - but I strongly advise against it. The variables involved in that kind of undertaking put you at extreme risk.

Commander, when I say "risk", I mean harm. What you're asking to do is extremely dangerous, and to experience her way of life just for the sake of fairness is reckless and borders on unethical.

Hypothetically, yes, it is reversible - but if something were to go wrong, I'm not sure I could reverse it. I don't have the technology available to me here that I had on Voyager.

I simply can't guarantee your safety.

I'd like to clarify this, just to make sure I understand you correctly.

You want to interface with the Borg Queen for the sake of fairness.

It was her idea, and you're taking it at face value.

I'll need some time to develop the procedure to be compatible with the systems here.

If you're determined to go through with this, I highly recommend the presence of a security team and full knowledge of the other members of the medical staff.

I'll want to meet with them before we begin. The best way to limit the ways this could go wrong is to ensure everyone is aware of the risks involved.

Do you.

Is this endeavor as ridiculous as it sounds?

[Gdi T'Pol. Crazy things are Kirk's thing]

In case we have to stop you?
subtlescience: (It's all a matter of perspective)

When?

You know this has every indication of being a bad idea.
