My inmate has led me to believe that you can facilitate experiencing the Borg Collective without nanotechnological alterations. Her words were, I believe, that it "would involve a temporary adaptation to [the] consciousness, by virtue of direct interface."

Do you have the ability to make this not only possible, but reversible?

It is possible and reversible, Commander - but I strongly advise against it. The variables involved in that kind of undertaking put you at extreme risk.

If I'm unwilling to experience her way of life, it would be hypocritical of my to ask her to experience ours. [She has spent WAY TOO MUCH TIME under Archer's command.]

Commander, when I say "risk", I mean harm. What you're asking to do is extremely dangerous, and to experience her way of life just for the sake of fairness is reckless and borders on unethical.

In what way? You said it is reversible. If that's so, then presumably you could monitor any potential dangers.

Hypothetically, yes, it is reversible - but if something were to go wrong, I'm not sure I could reverse it. I don't have the technology available to me here that I had on Voyager.

I simply can't guarantee your safety.

Then we'll have to make certain that nothing goes wrong.

I'm taking a potentially dangerous step with my inmate; a procedure that will allow me to access her Collective, for a short time. The Doctor thinks that it is necessary to have a security team present for it. Your magic would work as well as a phase pistol.

Is this endeavor as ridiculous as it sounds?
