[Immediately after this, T'Pol headed for Rhade's room. She was quick, but not without care, and checked the hall several times before slipping down the corridor to knock on his door.]

[He comes and answers the door, since his is not a whoosh door, and silently gestures her in.]

[T'Pol slips inside with one last glance over her shoulder.] Tell me.

He berated me for offering myself to him. [He wants to touch her. He wants to badly. He wants to touch and be touched by someone that he actually likes again. But instead, he balls his fists into his hands at his sides.]

[T'Pol pressed her lips together in a firm, thin line, staring at Rhade - though she was considering Kirk, and how satisfying it would be to see both versions dead. They could kill each other, if they were both here.

And she knows Rhade. She knows how he works, but it's still a battle to set aside her desire for space. T'Pol takes a step toward him, awkwardly reaching out a hand to touch his arm, a silent invitation.]

[He waited, even still, his desire for permission having been utterly compounded in these past few months. But he stepped closer finally, and put his arms around her in a tight embrace.]

[Hugs were not something T'Pol was good at, and it took a moment for her to press her hands against Rhade's back, head tilted back to press her chin against his shoulder. She's a little stiff, uncertain, but letting him hug as long as he needs to.]

Kirk left me a phaser.

He tried to offer it to me, but I wouldn't take it. [Because he knew he'd break his promise and kill other people with it, even though he didn't know why a promise was so important to keep. He pulls back so he doesn't completely dissolve her personal space.]

Hope that wasn't too bad for you. [His attempt at a joke over the hug.]

You should have. I don't intend to return it without a fight. [She inclined her head just a little at his joke, letting her hand linger on his arm before letting it drop because she knew how he felt about touch, even if she couldn't return it.]

It was tolerable.

Why? [ALL THE SUSPICION, ~~YOU VERY ATTRACTIVE ALIEN WOMAN >>~~]

[You are an easily fooled moron, Trip. :|] I've - been cruel to you, and I need your assistance. I'd like to make up for it.

[Yes. :c] Why?

[Knock knock, here's your ~~next victim~~ apparent henchman.]

[FRIEND, JUST A FRIENDLY....FRIEND. T'Pol opens the door and steps back just enough to let him in. She's building something in the corner of her room, by the window.]

[And that is immediately catching his attention. Because he is an idiot. So, just walking into the room and peering at it.] What is it?

[Oh Trip. You make it too easy. She's locking the door all subtly and approaching behind him.] A machine. [She brushed her fingers lightly along his back, stepping closer until they were almost touching.] To orchestrate my escape.

[He tried to conceal the pleased shiver that sent up his spine, and while he knows this is not going to go anywhere pleasant, he doesn't pull away from her just yet, or go for a weapon.] And why would I help you with somethin' like that?

[T'Pol leaned in, closing the distance and pressing her front against his back. One arm slid under his, palm flat against his chest. The other slipped over his shoulder. She had to rise to her toes to whisper in his ear.]

Because you'll have very little choice.

[And that was about when she reached her hand up to find the qui-lari points in his face. Which was surprisingly awkward backwards.]
