[ When the video clicks on, it shows both Trip and T'Pol seated on the edge of T'Pol's bed. Though it's just out of sight, her hand is settled in his. She glances at him from the corner of her her before looking head on into the feed again. ]
I have been here for three years. I saw my first inmate graduate, and I saw him graduate his own inmates. I've found things and people here that I never imagined I would see again - some positive, some less so. I've died here.
[ A beat. She straightens her shoulders, lifts her chin. ] In three years, I have sought two deals from the Admiral. The first was achieved with relative ease; the second has been much more difficult.
[ T'Pol breaks off again, turning to her husband, and Trip picks up the slack: ] Back home, right before I came here, there was an extremist group called Terra Prime that wanted to expel all non-humans from Earth and from our solar system. Their leader stole samples of our DNA to try and show people what it'd look like if humans started reproducing with aliens. So, we found out we had a daughter, and she was basically bein' held hostage by these whackjobs. We went in to try and get her out and stopped him from blowin' up a good chunk of San Francisco, but they messed up the cloning process and she died after we got her back to <>Enterprise. [ And here Trip has to stop for a second, because while he's been keeping his voice pretty level, telling the facts as they happened and not focusing too much on the emotional weight of it, it's still hard to just come out and say it like that, and to remember what it had been like to watch her fade away. ] We only got to know her for a couple hours.
[ He takes a deep breath, and when he keeps going, his voice is a little more forcibly normal now. ] Right after the funeral, I came here to fix it. But it's been almost two years, and aside from patchin' up the engines and whatever people end up breaking around here, I haven't really gotten the chance to do anything that's actually gonna move us forward. I've had eight inmates, and most of 'em left before they even got a chance to make progress.
[ It's almost obvious that they draw strength from one another; T'Pol continues. ] We've been given a reprieve. Rhade changed his deal to save Elizabeth. Our daughter. I imagine there is no Vulcan alive who knows how to say thank you better than I, and thank you still does not seem enough. We'll be leaving shortly, once our affairs are in order.
[ Lifting her hand, her fingers part in the Vulcan salute, and she inclines her head. ] Live long, and prosper.
[Private to Dick and Zev]
[ A few minutes after the post goes up, she adds a private note: ] I've restored Ivy's abilities, and I do not intend to limit them again before I go. I do not, however, wish to leave without someone being aware. The two of you seemed the best options, given your relationship with Ivy. I hope you will keep an eye on her until she is reassigned; I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Is she taking it okay?
[Private]
She has been very understanding of our situation, but I know she isn't taking to being on the ship well.
[Private]
But you sound like you'll be happy. You should go after that. [Her deal is seriously only for a nice home. She can't blame them at all.]
[Private]
Take care, Zev.

You too. Both of you.

Take care of yourself, Merlin. [ And a nod. She'll miss you, bro. :c ]

T'Pol kind of does, too, but still - she's someone who knows and that's been unexpectedly helpful to him. And he does treasure that stupid picture even though he threw a fit about it when it arrived.
And Trip? Well, Trip's been pretty good to Dean, all things considered. So he does, eventually, get over himself and click on the feed.]
Hey sweetheart - [Just for you, T'Pol. One last parting annoyance, and no, he does not care that your husband is right there.] I know I've been kind of a jerk since I got here, but thanks. I'm glad you get to go home and I'm glad someone here's gonna fix it for you. I'll help him if I can.
Trip, dude. I'm sorry. And I'm glad it's gonna work out one way or another. Glad you guys got each other.
[ Video : Private to YOU TWO ]
I am certain you will help a great deal of people. Good luck, Dean. I trust you'll have your turn, soon.
[ Video : Private to YOU TWO ]
Thanks for that, anyway. Take care.

Me? Trouble? Whatever.
If people trash the place, I'll just make 'em clean it up.

Sorry, a whole lot of things that didn't make sense make sense now. [Rhade, so secretive...]
Good luck you two. It must feel good to go home.

After so long...yes, it does. Thank you, Captain Hunt. [ And that eyebrow takes on a vaguely humorous quality, though it's hard to tell the difference: ] I hope you'll look after Gaheris' best interests.

...Do you still want some time before speaking to me? [Because, despite how justifiable he feels that he is, he also did slink around and had no intention of telling Dylan until T'Pol and Trip were leaving.
And from someone that didn't tell you about a whole insurrection for years that's a rather large accumulated deal.]
[Private]
Dylan should find that commendable. He knows he should, and when he's rid himself of the last of his anger, he will. But right now the loudest voice in his mind is still upset because the universe is at stake.]
I understand why you did it. But I don't know what to think of it. Give me a day.
