with_discipline: (Meditation is how I cope with your shit)

H'Esh etek vi-esh-torong sa'le-esh-tor quel sochya. Ha kashek svi'ma kae quel sochya. Ma ak'shem, ma sikrus quel sochya. Ma katra, ma ves quel sochya.
The breath we draw in and release is peace. The thoughts in our minds are peace. Our body, our limbs are peace. Our spirit, our essence is peace.

I have found that meditation has been a great help in handling the visions and dreams that have become common lately. It is unnatural for Vulcans to dream after meditating; that has not stopped whatever is causing these particular visitations, but it has made them bearable. It is my theory that such mental focus would aid others who find themselves unsettled by this. If I may be helpful in some way in this regard, I can be found on level six, room eight.

My apologies for our lack of interaction. [A short pause] If you are having difficulties, I will do what I can to help.

Let me make several things perfectly clear:

First, the potions I provided to the infirmary have the sole purpose of preventing nightmares. They will not prevent madness, and I have no knowledge of a potion that does such a thing.

Second, it is part of my agreement with my warden to provide these potions in exchange for my wand. I am not a philanthropist, and have no interest in aiding the likes of you beyond the efforts I have already made.

The infirmary has the potions. If you need them, go speak with Dr. Jones. If their stores are depleted, encourage them to speak with me. Only then will I agree to put further effort into this situation.

Then let me make several things, in turn, just as clear:

(1) Nightmares make for troubled sleep, at best. This contributes to irritability and general stress. It might even trigger a medical emergency in those with heart problems. Either way a good portion of those affected will have access to weapons.

(2) As an inmate, you're at least partially disempowered. This places you in the 'at risk' catetgory.

(3) You've already stated only you have the capability to combine these elements into a useful form.

Refusing to offer full assistance in this matter is tantamount to suicide. Do you really want to risk some of your more volatile neighbours deciding to take out their frustrations on you?

I might also remind you that this entire discussion has taken place in public. It's only a matter of time before someone sees you're withholding the key to giving them a peaceful night's sleep and decides to take action.

For your own sake, I hope you see sense.

Your threats are pointless. I am withholding nothing. I have instructed you in the means by which you can acquire a dreamless sleep potion - the same way everyone else aboard.

I have also agreed to restock any stores for the infirmary.

You are simply looking for a bloody scapegoat and lack any sort of reading comprehension skills.

Let me make it more plain:

GO TO THE INFIRMARY.
ASK DR. JONES FOR A DREAMLESS SLEEP POTION.
IF SHE HAS NONE LEFT, SHE WILL TELL ME AND I WILL MAKE MORE.

Clear?

They're not threats. They're observations.

If, however, these items happen to be present in their fully constituted form, as opposed to constituant elements, then I apologise.

Restlessness and anxiety is proving to be something of considerable worry...

In anticipation of just such an event as this, I provided the infirmary with Dreamless Sleep Potions, Healing potions, Calming Draughts, and Blood Replenishing Potions with the agreement that I would be allowed to retain possession of my wand. They have all of these items; the people here on this ship do not trust me, and therefore I imagine there is a large supply as yet.

I accept your apology; rest assured, I am suffering the same anxieties as yourself.

Yes. It's exactly what it sounds like.

Much of the blood supply we have goes to the vampires; it's prudent to have something else upon which we can rely in case of injury.

Assuming that it WOULD actually work? :)

[identity profile] fullmetalcorset.livejournal.com 2009-10-26 10:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yes... Yes, I suppose it would...

Should this prove successful, you have my appreciation.

LOL Well, it's *supposed* to work. Talked to Rei about it beforehand.

The dreamless sleep potion works. That much I know.

Hey... This for real?

Who's it been tested on?

Few have been told, apparently.
