She's past trying to find solitude, because it isn't working, she's past trying to sit and meditate because it isn't working, so clearly it's time to try thinking outside the box.]

Is anyone having particular success in coping with this flood? I don't-- [Her voice kind of died mid word there so she stops, trying to gather herself, and for a second there's just some audible breathing; T'Pol's trying to use all these calming breathing techniques an they aren't doing jack for her.]

[Dean is probably the wrong person to try to talk to, T'Pol; he's a creature of emotion and intuition, and the way he's handling this flood is by letting it flow through him, though he's not thinking of it like that. Fear, anger, anxiety, loneliness - he knows how to handle all of these, sorting them into their compartments and shoving them down relentlessly; happiness, amusement, relief, love, he grabs onto those and uses them to get through his day.

He's just carrying around a few extra peoples' emotions today, that's all, in addition to the (probably) completely unsurprising, soulsucking, Sam-related grief that he can't shake no matter what he does. So by the time he sees both her public video and her message to him, he makes a guess what it's about.

She needs distracting, too. He can do that. But first, a genuinely, gently saddened and sincere reply to her actual words.]
